When we woke up this morning we gave our children a few
options of what we could do on our very last day. First, they picked the
breakfast hamburger place. Then, after breakfast, they chose to go back to the
science center (the zoo was the other alternative). Last time when we went to
the science center we started from the bottom and only barely got to the two
best floors. This time we started right on floor five. The children had a blast
and learned all about physics, mathematics, vision, and Taiwan geology. Time
seemed to really fly while we were there. Getting home was a little tricky and
I think it was because we were all worn out from a fun two month journey. Agnes
and Asher were exhausted, Christian seemed like he was getting sick, and the
soles of Elliott’s second pair of shoes had fallen off. They each got to pick
one last Taiwan treat that night. Christian, Elliott, Agnes, and Asher picked a
slushy – perhaps because it was right on the way home. Ethan and Julia picked
an onion pancake with egg and bacon. Those are really yummy and I tried to get
a few tips from the guy that we had been going to. That night after the kids
went to bed Rebecca and I snuck out and Rebecca got some fried mushroom and a
papaya slushy and I got some tian-bu-la and a shaved ice. We got to pick a
couple last treats each since we were celebrating our 13 anniversary. I am so
lucky to have Rebecca for a wife!
Ethan got this interesting sandwich for breakfast. It had kiwi, pineapple, and one other thing in it. It was okay, but actually kind of bland.
Back at the science museum for our last full day in Taiwan.
