This was our last Sunday in Taiwan. When we showed up to
church Angel (the daughter in the Chen family) was there waiting for us with a
huge box of treats for us to take home. The box was full of pineapple cakes and
all sorts of other similar yummy treats. It was very kind of them to think
about us in this way. We said bye to Angel and asked when we could host them in
America and repay some of the kindness that they have showed to us on this
trip. We then attended the English ward. They really seem like a strong ward
and were very welcoming to us while we were attending. The rest of the
afternoon we did some preliminary preparations for our trip by going through
our clothing and getting rid of anything that got stained or holes in it during
our time in Taiwan – I think we ended up throwing out about half of our things.
That evening we went to a baptism that they were having in the English ward. It
is rare that our children get to see a convert baptism and so we thought we
should take advantage of the opportunity.
