Free Time

Over the past couple months I have been trying to be as productive as possible with my time away from family. But, by the time eight or so rolls around I usually need to be done with my work for the day. In the evenings I have been getting in 30 minutes to an hour of reading. It took me a long time, but I finally finished the book Eragon. Caleb recommended it to me and I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed the story and I felt like the quality of writing was better than many of the other teenager/young adult books that I have read. I was a little embarrassed checking out the book though. I looked first for it in the young adult section, but couldn't find it so I had to ask a librarian who told me it was in the children's section. Here I was a college professor picking out my book among the five to ten-year-olds.  I read a little bit about the author and it turns out that he graduated from high school when he was 15 and started writing this book then. I thought that was really impressive.

Now that I finished Eragon I started reading Allegiant, the last book in the Divergent series. I hate waiting for the last movies to come out so I often only read the final books in series. So far I haven't been liking it as much as Eragon though, maybe I will go back and read the other books in the Eragon series instead.

The other entertainment activity that I usually do while I eat dinner is watch Studio C. Not all of them, but I think a lot of their skits are pretty funny. Some of the skits make fun of people too much (they had one that was particularly dumb about the name Agnes), but at least they are clean.
