Summer Trip Part 9 - Nashville

Our last main stop on our road trip before heading home was Nashville. Rebecca has another cousin who lives there, so we were able to stay with them for a couple of nights. None of us had been to Nashville before (at least that we can remember), so we were excited to see the city.

Our children enjoyed playing a lot of Nerts with each other and their second cousins. It is a game that growing up Rebecca played a lot with her cousin that we were staying with, so it was fun to see them all playing together.

One of the highlights of Nashville was visiting the Parthenon.

We walked through the downtown area on one morning. It started with a pretty walk across a bridge.

It was fun to see the country music walk of fame. Even though neither of us are country music fans, we knew many of the names who had stars on the sidewalk.

Our children liked that this famous bar had the same name as our neighbor's dog.

We poked our heads into a couple of the bars where they had live music going. It was fun to hear and I am sure the area would be even more exciting in the evenings.

Although I am generally not a country music fan, I do like Johnny Cash a lot.
